Assembly Wood/ Carpenter

The work of carpenters is often as follows:

•  Repairing and fitting doors, floors, frames, roofs, stairs, ceilings, walls, window sills and/or other (wooden) structures
• Studying sketches, drawings, specifications and building plans in preparation for actual carpentry work
• Checking the soundness and condition of existing constructions (e.g. using spirit level and square)
• Determining dimensions and distances using tools such as measuring tape, pencil, folding rule and chalk
• Cutting wooden boards and beams to size using (power) tools
• Fastening building materials together using nails, screws, bolts, etc.
• Finishing joints and seams (e.g. with skirting boards or sealant)

In this position at this company, you will mainly be disassembling and reassembling wooden crates (for transport of large high-tech parts) on a daily basis. You will do this on the basis of technical drawings and guidelines. 

Furthermore, your tasks include:

• Noticing and reporting deviations
• Ensuring quality
• Working safely

You will work in 2 shifts and the hours are one week Monday to Friday from 6.00-15.00 and the other week Monday to Friday from 15.00-00.00.

To perform this job well, you obviously have VMBO working and thinking level, handy hands and experience reading technical drawings.

You work accurately and are committed to quality.

In addition, you bring with you:

• Good command of the English language
• You are willing to work in shifts
• You have a technical background or experience in woodworking as e.g. Machine Woodworker, Handyman, Wood Production Worker or Assembly Worker
• You are a team player and live in e.g. Eindhoven, Helmond, Veldhoven Veghel or Valkenswaard
